I don't know that aliens are moving from different states; I think you meant different countries. Be sure to re-read what you write to assure that it is grammatically sound and representative of the scholar you are. Thanks for posting first!!

Thanks and I agree it sounds better. Plus in the reading it states that.

You answered the questions good😊. The only thing I think you should add is maybe a example of connotation and denotation being used.

Thanks for posting early😊 I think you should maybe go into more details about what aliens have come to be. Where do they try to go and maybe why they try enter different states

I agree with Kemani in that you should go into more detail about the words "aliens and "immigrants". Possibly add details about the negative connotation associated with the word alien, contrary to the term immigrant.

I feel as if you answered the question well. My only suggestion would be that you could give examples of connotations and denotations, or say where in the passage can the connotations and denotations of the word alien can be found.

Tashierra, you answered the question both parts and I agree with your answer. However, I feel as though to define discrimination in the context of this particular essay, I would remove "especially on grounds of race." This can be a part of general definition but in this essay discrimination was based off of origin of people. I hope you understand what I'm saying.

You did a great job on all of your answers. For this answer you could add information on how the change in terminology was not merely a change in words. The change in terminology had a sort of social impact as well.

You could possibly elaborate on the social impact that people moving away from immigrants has on the immigrants. What were some of the negative connotations associated with being an immigrants.

Well done answering both questions and I entirely agree with your response. I also believe that immigrants deserve to be treated like everyone else and nothing less. I also don't believe that it matters if an immigrant is documented or undocumented, because they're still human at the end of the day.

Hey Crystal. I agree with your response wholeheartedly. I also believe immigrants should be treated with respect because it takes courage to to leave everything where you are from to come and chase a better life for your family or yourself! You made many points in this that are great, I especially love the fact you mentioned how long the citizenship process is. You should mention how some people even try to get documented but that can shy them away from it! You have great arguments and with a few words to further describe the situation like to "make a better living", this would be awesome!
