The writer affirms that the color grey is deceitful. To begin, information provided by the author, declares that,"It's the color that men who have no true intentions use."This evidence affirms that men doesn't always have good intentions for the women he is dealing with. He is like a snake, smooth on the outside and poisonous in the inside. In fact the author articulates,"all the games of grey:mind bending, heart rendering,self-worth questioning, and emotional purgatory."The data corroborates the notion that grey is so dark that it blinds you.Grey has too many side effects. Some may argue that' a man has been through a lot,he's still trying to heal or things are complicated."Well that is only partly the case, the women who was dug through the mud feelings wasn't or hasn't been considered.Obviously men has some growing up to do and women got to be more cautious. Men stop hiding behind GREY.

Your argument response was good overall. I got the whole concept of it and what you were trying to say but the only thing I would disagree on, is the spelling and grammar errors. Other than that, good job!!

The writer affirms that grey symbolizes the color for men who treat women wrong. To begin, information provided by the text, declares that "grey has a way of making a woman work so hard, with no guarantee for a return on her investment." This evidence affirms that men will make women do anything for them but will never return the favor. Furthermore, according to the text, "grey never gives the opportunity for a Queen to thrive, or truly enjoy herself, or recieve a pure form of love." The data undoubtedly demonstrates that women suffer from being unhappy because of the men who mistreat them. Opponents would imply that, "grey is just another way to say it's complicated." However, they will fail to see that, "grey is mind-bending, heart rendering, and self-worth questioning." Overall, grey is a deceiving color that yields excuses.

Hey Samone, your Argument response was great. I do have one critique, your evidence is good but for the explanation you are supposed to give following it, I feel as though you could have went more into depth. Also, it would be more scholarly if you didn't rely so much on the text for example majority of this response is in parentheses. I think you should work on summarization because you are a really bright student. Overall good job, keep the good work up.

I like your argument. I do not agree with the statement women work so hard with no guarantee return on her investment. Women do suffer from being unhappy. Where is your tone?

The writer affirms that, she is tired of men who make a living in the grey area, who constantly manipulate and lie. Moreover, according to unknown woman, "grey has you feeling down right confused, about what you are entitled to." (Unknown, line 45). The data undoubtedly demonstrates that these men, constantly make you feel you are not worthy of the exchange of feelings, that you are not worthy of a return of commitment. In fact, Unknown articulates, " Grey is just another way to say it's complicated." (Line 60). The data corroborates the notion that, these men make these girls believe that, it's them and that they are the ones that is slowly ruining things. Challengers would defend the notion that " he's been through so much he's trying to heal." However, he/she fails to see that, though the person may be healing that does not mean that they can make others feel unworthy if affection. The factor of healing should never affect how you reflect someone's emotions that they shine onto you. All in all, These men living in grey, taking Women's hearts and leaving the bodies at the disposal of other grey men, are toxic it us disturbing that we continue to make excuses for their behavior, we as women and men who continue to have our hearts broken and minds exposed deserve better.

Very good argument response! I like the example you said "grey is just another way of saying it's too complicated" I should've used that! I also would like to applaud you for when you mentioned "he/she" because it happens both ways. :)

The writer affirms being left in the grey area is both tiresome and annoying. Information given by the author states "Just an illusion of partnership" (line 21). The men typically don't specify the relationship and tend to lead women on under false pretenses. Unknown illustrates, "More than friends, Less than committed"(line 37 and 38). The men know that they string broken hearts along yet, they treat women like toys to be used when wanted and cast aside when they get bored. Unknown also states in the poem "A constant battle between letting your guards down and trying to exemplify loyalty"(line 50). It's hard to let your guard down because, you don't know exactly if you two are an item since he hasn't specified it so you have no other choice but to exemplify loyalty to someone that could most likely not be yours. In the poem, the man constantly reprises his role as the victim by using lame or tiresome excuses like "it's complicated" or he's been through so much and he's trying to heal". These excuses are absolute malarkey for the simple fact that the male companion attempted to be in a relationship with you and not specify what you two are and when he's asked he's suddenly "been through so much". The data epitomizes this woman's outrage and the constant excuses men make when trying to avoid a relationship. Overall, this poem speaks the truth for women who've been stringed along by people who they thought were their boyfriends but, weren't given a title. The women deserve to know where they stand at the beginning of the relationship, not when it gets to real for her when it was never anything to him.

It seems obvious to the writer that women can work so hard for a man’s love , but they are not guaranteed a spot in the man’s heart. To begin , information provided by the author in the poem grey , declares that “shades that tell the stories of broken hearts and unfulfilled wishes” (unknown). This evidence affirms that the things that us women go through is because of the actions of the men in our lives. In addition , According to the poem “Grey” , “ a constant battle between letting your guards down and trying to exemplify loyalty” (unknown). The data Undoubtedly demonstrates that grey is what makes excuses and it is a faded area which men chooses to hide. To add on, evidence from the poem asserts that “it never gives the opportunity for a queen to thrive”(unknown) This circumstantiates the idea that women are trapped and are not allowed to reach their full potential because the men control them emotionally. The unknown author found that “all of the games of grey are mind bending and confusing” (unknown). This shows that most men try not to let women live up their full potential and be the queens that they are ; they would rather hold them down and make them insecure. Challengers would defend thee notation that “women put themselves in this situation” . While that may seem true , the evidence proves that “ men lie and lead women on”. All in all, the color grey is just another way to make up excuses and degrade women.

It seems obvious to the writer that men who are frivolous with a lady's emotions and hold no intentions of being committed, will often exploit the lady leaving her in an ambiguous state - an in between area of gray. To begin, information provided by the author, declares that men who hold false intentions often lead woman astray with empty promises of a loving relationship. This evidence affirms that ill mannered men purposefully pursue women with no forethought of a future together. That to them, a relationship is only a means of entertainment. Furthermore, evidence from the author asserts that men also abuse their control over a lady's affections for them in order to create excuses for their self such as things being complicated or that they still need time to heal. This circumstantiates the idea of there still being hope for a prospering relationship which adds to the grey area by aloting men with ample time to further device the lady. Challengers would defend the notion that it was the woman's fault for falling for an obvious trap or that she misinterpreted manners for flirting and imagined the relationship. However if the male knew of the misunderstanding, he should have rectified the situation instead of egging it on. All in all, their are certain men in this world who are only interested in the chase and never wish to settle down. If you ever find yourself in this position, tread lightly or you could end up in an area of grey.

It seem obvious to the writer that a women will still be committed to a man even if he has no true intentions of being committed to her. According to the author of Grey, “Stuck between here and nowhere. Stuck between commitment and just meeting. Stuck between a flourishing love and othe that’s stifled from fear of falling in too deep.” (Line 12) The data undoubtedly demonstrates that being in a relationship with Grey will not go anywhere because he is not committed. Opponents would imply that “He’s been through so much, he is still trying to heal.” However they fail to see that by him keeping her in a space where she thinks things will change but in reality he doesn’t want to solidify a relationship only hurts her the longer the “relationship” last. Ultimately, no matter how hard a woman tries to make a relationship work there is no hope unless he has the same intentions with her.

The writer affirms that some men have a way of making women work so hard with no guarantee with a return relationship. To begin, information provided by the woman, declares that “it's a bunch of stories of broken hearts and unfulfilled wishes”. This evidence affirms that men just use women and at the end when a relationship doesn't come out of the situation it makes broken hearts and wishes that will never be fulfilled. In fact , the woman articulates, how men make it to where you are just”stuck between a flourishing love and basically fall in the situation too deep”. The data corroborates the notion that women want to be specific in what they have it's either its white or black no in between , but men make it grey which is undefined. Opponents would imply that “ it's complicated” or “He’s been through so much, he is still trying to heal. However, they fail to see that the women just want a pure form of love someone to hug and to hold. The logical conclusion is that if you don't want a relationship say that, if you do want a relationship say that. Say what's on your mind instead of playing the game with women time and most importantly feelings.

It seems obvious to the writer that grey represents men who are disloyal, who are afraid of commitments, and who are not willing to love women to their fullest.(lines 11-13) In fact (unknown author) states that they are "stuck between a flourishing love and one that's stifled from fear of falling in too deep" this line demonstrate how men have a difficult time trusting love, they believe that their relationship will tie them down too much and that they will "never escape" they love. Further (Unknown author) found that (6th to last line) "men never give women the opportunity for a queen to thrive, or truly enjoy herself, or receive a pure of love", women often pay more attention to their partner more than themselves; that is what women are known for. They never get to take care of themselves because they are busy taking care of others. Opponents would imply that "shades of grey are stories of broken hearts and unfulfilled wishes"(9th line) that they are bent truths, that both sides are needed to be told in order to form an accurate conclusion. Sometimes you might only need one side if you have various stories. To sum it all up, grey is a shade that represent tragic relationships. Women's broken hearts turn from red to grey, because of a relationship with men who hold them back from being the queen they deserve to be. Women need to search harder and have set standards in the type of men they need to be happy.

The writer affirms that the non-loyal and manipulative nature of the male sex has become a very vexed issue upon women. Namely, evidence from the poem asserts that unfaithful men have “a way of making a woman work so hard, with no guarantee for a return of her investment". (Lines 54-55). This circumstantiates the idea that women exert their emotions into a relationship while anticipating to recieve the same amount of effort from their partner. However, men are not often held to such responsibilities and decide to take advantage of the opportunity rather than to truly embrace it with affection. This is because women make excuses in an attempt to create a hope for a bond in the relationship; whereas men simply make their decision based on how they may feel at the moment. This does not necessarily guarantee that the woman's desired is being or will be returned. Opponents would imply that “It's complicated" or “He's been through so much, he is still trying to heal". However, they fail to see that these excuses “never gives the opportunity for a Queen to thrive, or truly enjoy herself, or receive a pure form of love". Ultimately, a woman will never receive pure love and commitment until those men of “grey" learn to become more sincere and loyal to their partners

It seems obvious to the writer that grey is the color of a untrustworthy man. To begin, information provided by the author declares that "Its the color of men who have no true intentions" (Line 2). This evidence affirms that the author believes a disloyal man is colored grey. It explicitly says it is the color of an untrue man. Furthermore, according to the author, "You see grey has a way of making women work so hard, with no guarantee for a return on her investment" (Line 54-55). The data undoubtedly demonstrates that a grey man makes a woman work hard for love she will likely never receive. Challengers would defend the notion that all grey men have likely had some traumatizing experience and just need to be given time. However he or she fails to see how this affects women as the poem says it makes the woman work for love she will not receive. All in all the poem sums up that grey will leave only a trail of tears and broken hearts.

Good job! It was hard for me to find any mistakes, you really did good. But I really don't believe untrustworthy was the overall symbol of grey in this poem. Comments are closed.
