Judy Brady in the essay, " I Want a Wife", explains that her male friend is looking for another wife. She thought about the situation one day and decided that she too, would like to have a wife. Brady supports her explanation by first explaining how she wants her wife to do to make her life easier. She then lists duties of a wife and what they're expected to do. Lastly, the author explains an unblanace between a husband and a wife's duties. Brady's purpose is to highlight the duties of a women's job and explains how women are being treated as wives so that men could be more appreciative of a women's job. The author writes in a passionate tone for married men, who are in unbalanced households. This work is significant because women don't understand that they are being overworked and that men should take some tasks to make a household balanced.

Judy Brady in the article, I Want a Wife, asserts that her treatments as a wife and mother are biased, and also that women are undervalued. Brady supports her assertions by first explaining how all the responsibilities of a mother and wife are time consuming and hard to handle by herself with no help from her family or husband. She then describes how men think and act from her point of view by sarcastically expressing that, it would be nice to have a wife to tend to your every need and also manage to carry the family on her back. Lastly, the author defines what a man thinks the ideal wife is supposed to be by frequently stating things that she feels benefit the male in the relationship. Brady's purpose is to show women how men act and think when it comes to their woman. The author writes in a sarcastic tone for men. This work is significant because I learned that women are assumed to be the full-time caregivers and providers in a family or relationship, this taught me that it's not easy to take care of others all by yourself and no one should ever have that much weight on their shoulders if there are people placed in their life to help.

Judy Brady in the essay, "I Want A Wife", asserts what she wants in a wife. Brady supports her explanation by first listing all the thing that wives do everyday for their household. She then gives the perspective of a man and what they expect for a woman to do while they tend to their school work. Lastly, the author appeals to the emotional state of women as they try to make their household the best it can be. Brady's purpose is to show the unfair and unbalanced expectations of men and women in a house in or so that women will see what men see in them. The author writes in a sarcastic tone for married women and men. This work is significant because it gives an inside perspective into real-world problems that women face everyday.

Judy Brady in the essay, "I Want A Wife", states that she too, would like to have a wife who is suitable for her needs. Brady supports her claim by first listing all of the duties she wants her wife to uphold. She then goes in detail about how she wants her wife to meet her requirements and her children requirements. Lastly, the author supports her claim by stating the ideal qualities of a woman that she wants in her wife. Brady's purpose is to inform the reader about the balanced and unfair expectations of men and women so that men and women can see the expectations that they are expected to act upon. The author writes in a mocking tone for married men. This work is significant because this essay tells women the duties that they are supposed to uphold or at least try to take part in. It is also significant because I learned that women are only supposed to be caregivers and nurturers of the the family.

Judy Brady in the essay “I Want A Wife” explains that she wants a wife. Brady supports her explanation by first describes what a wife is “suppose” to do in a way that makes it seems as though she is simply telling what she wants. She then lists the many “qualities” she wants in a wife. Lastly, the author illustrates what she does not want in a wife and how her wife shall act. Brady’s purpose is to show the unbalanced expectations of women in marriage compared to men in order to convey to the audience of how she feels and that it is wrong. The author writes in an ironic or sarcastic tone for wives so they too can relate. This work is significant because it represented and mimics the thinking process of a male when it comes to the duties of a wife.

Judy Brady in the essay, 'I Want a Wife', claims that she wants a wife like a wife should be to in the eyes of society, as if she's a man. Brady supports her assertion by first investigating what a wife should be in the eyes of a man who’s influenced by society. She then lists what a wife should do, such as “I want a wife who will take care of my physical needs. I want a wife who will keep my house clean” (Brady, 1). Lastly, the author challenges the need for a wife by saying “…I want the liberty to replace my present wife with another one” (Brady, 1). Brady’s purpose is to show the unbalance expectations put upon women as opposed to men in order to show that these expectations put upon wives by society are unfair. The author writes in a passive aggressive tone for wives to show that these expectations are impossible to reach. This work is significant because it shows us, women, that to men, we have to do certain things otherwise they will replace us; it also shows us how society thinks that wives should do for their husbands and families.

Judy Brady in the essay, " I Want a Wife", claims that she too would like a wife she described throughout the essay; a wife that should have multiple abilities to satisfy her man. Brady lists various examples of what a "perfect wife" should do, such as, "I want a wife who will care for me whenI am sick and sympathize with my pain and lost of time from school." (Brady 4) Lastly, the author explains that if the present wife doesn't carry or posses these qualities, she will quickly be replaced with a wife more suitable for her needs, as if she was a man. Brady's purpose was to show women that men expect all these qualities for his wife in order to mock men and explain to women what men really want. The author writes in a sarcastic tone for her targeted audience, which is men ormarried couples. This work is significant because it shows and explains to women what men really want out of their wife.

Brady in the essay, "I Want a Wife", argues that wives and/or mothers are unappreciated for what they do and the roles between men and women are unequal. Brady supports her argument by first describing how she should care for the ones who are dependent upon her (children and husband). She then explains the physical needs that men expect their wives to do. Lastly the author underlying states how women are supposed to be willing to devote all their time to their family while men have open options to just about anything. Brady's purpose is to point out how wives aren't even perceived as partners anymore but merely tools for their husbands. The author writes in a sarcastic tone for housewives and men to show how women are expected to do everything when men want it done and also how men take advantage of the role of the wife. This work is significant because I'm now aware of how men in that era perceived the whole concept of marriage, partnership and commitment.

Judy Brady in the article, "I Want a Wife", suggests that she wants a wife because as men may perceive it, its good to have a wife due to the fact a wife do a continuous list of things to do. Brady supports her claim by first defining what a wife should/ suppose to do within a marriage. She then lists the qualities of a wife, for example being the caregiver within the household. Lastly, the author analyzes what she don't want her wife to do. Brady's purpose is to point out the unfair balance of duties/expectations between a wife and a husband. The author writes in a sexist tone for men because some men may think they do as much as women do within a marriage. This work is significant because now I realize that many women in today's society isn't the wife Judy Brady described in the article. Nowadays, wives don't do half of much as to what Brady illustrated in the article. Also, the article is significant because men may start appreciating the things that their wives may execute on a daily basis.

Judy Brady in the essay, " I want a Wife", argues that she would rather have a "all-together" wife that the male point of view reflects. Brady supports her argument by first citing what she feels she needs/ deserves from her wife. She then lists the responsibilities of how a woman should balance her household. For example, she says " I want a wife who will keep my clothes clean, ironed, mended, replaced when need be, and who will see to it that my personal things are kept in their proper place so that I can find what I need the minute I need it. I want a wife who cooks the meals, a wife who is a good cook. I want a wife who will plan the menus, do the necessary grocery shopping, prepare the meals, serve them pleasantly, and then do the cleaning up while I do my studying." Lastly, the author cites her emotional and physical needs. She stresses that, "I want a wife who will not bother me with rambling complaints about a wife's duties. But I want a wife who will listen to me when I feel the need to explain a rather difficult point I have come across in my course studies." Ms. Brady's purpose was to express what she desires from a wife, but in the position of a male's standpoint so that people who are on the outside looking in can see what is always expected of women to do. We aren't allowed to be nothing more or nothing less, and we are made to cater to then needs of others. The author writes her essay in a, seemingly, sarcastic tone for the male audience as well as society, in general. This work is significant because the role of a women can be very overbearing with much responsibility and no support.

Judy Brady in the essay, I Want a Wife, argues that she wants a wife, because of the duties the wife has. Brady supports her claims by first explaining the duties of a wife and how she needs to do these things, because her husband is working hard to support the family. She then lists in detail what she wants her wife to do. Lastly, the author demonstrates how the wife should be solely devoted to her husband and always compliant, because that is her role as a wife. Brady's purpose is to point out the unfair balance of expectations between a man and a woman in order so that the wife is only seen as a slave to her husband. The author writes in a sarcastic tone for wives. This work is significant because in the essay it shows how husbands expect so much from their wives, but in return all they have to do is go to work; this makes it seem like the husband's perception of their wife is that she is just a slave rather than a wife.

Judy Brady in the essay, " I Want a Wife," argues that she wants a wife. Brady supports her essay by first explaining that she is in fact a wife and wants one because of all the things that they do on a daily basis. She then describes the duties that she wants her wife to do. Lastly, the author explores what things a man might want a wife for. Brady's purpose is to point out to a reader what a wife can be and also how unappreciated they are sometimes; so that way one would think twice about the perks and duties of a wife. The author writes in a sarcastic tone meant for men. This work is significant because I learned how a woman deems the qualities of a wife as she thought a man would. As a result, it makes me really think about how my marriage may go.

Judy Brady in the essay, I Want A Wife, asserts that she would like a wife ro support her and take care of her as she does as she wants. Brady dupports her assertion by first listing all of the reasons she or anyone would want a wife. She then explains why she would need the wife's duties to be fulfilled as she goes about her life. Lastly, the author describes why this can only be done by a wife because of course she can not do it, she has no time. Brady's purpose us to point out the unfair balance of expectations of a man and a woman in a marriage, in order to suggest some change. The author writes in a sarcastic tone for wives in this same situation. This work is significant because it showed me all the many things and roles women are expected to uphold.

Judy Brady in the essay "I Want a Wife," asserts that she wants a wife who is capable enough to fulfill the duties of the generally broad ideal superwoman (wife). Judy supports her claim by first, mainly listing the common responsibilities of a wife, such as being able to keep her home in order, taking care of her children, ensuring that she remains pleasant around her home, cooks, caters to her husbands physical and sexual needs whenever and whatever he deems necessary! She, then goes on to further explain the unwanted factors of her wife going on a tirade about a woman's duties, simply because a woman's duty is just a woman's duty. Lastly, the author makes a clear and concise point that if she ever feels the need or desire to leave her current wife for someone else, he will naturally expect his wife to be just fine with that notion and innately take on the responsibility of their children. Brady's purpose of this essay to expound on the responsibility of a wife and the ideal perspective of a woman's job, and what men typically expect from the women! The author writes in a serious tone for men and women. This woke is significant because I feel that, as sexist as one may believe this piece is, that's doesn't take away from the realist of a woman's job in her household. And although there are plenty of women who run their household different, led alone their strategy of catering to their husbands, every foundation for that is quite similar. Cooking, cleaning, having morals and values etc. It's not all the same, but has a lot of validity to it.

Judy Brady in essay "I want a wife" argues that she .."would like to have a wife". Brady supports her claim by first stating the question "Why do I want a wife?" She then states reasons as to why she would like to have a wife. Then she states that she would like to have a wife because she "would like to go back to school so that I can become economically independent,..",I want a wife who is a good nurturer attendant to my children, who arranges for their schooling.." Lastly she says that she "wants a wife who will take care of my physical needs. I want a wife who will keep my house clean."Brady's purpose is to inform her audience of the unequal balance of expectations in the marriage with a husband and wife in order to help them understand why she wants a wife. The author writes in an passive aggressive tone for the married couples she is speaking to particularly the husbands. This work is significant because it shows how the wife is expected to dedicate her life to her husband and children. It shows me that when I am to be married than these things that Brady says is what I am to do when I am married.

Just Brady in the article, "I Want A Wife", suggests that life would be better if she had a wife. Brady supports her arguement by first analying the roles wives do for thrir husbands and families. The Brady illustrates an image of irony to capture the reader mind, you wonder if she is really serious. Lastly, the author investigates your mind by having you think if you could possibly want a wife. Brady's purpose was to present the challenges (physically/mentally) a wife undergoes. The author writes in sarcastic tone for men all over. This work is significant because iy give you different view points of the "traditional family"

Judy Brady in the article " I want a wife" argues that basically he wants a wife so she could take care of all of her and his priorities. Brady supports her claims by first describing what it takes her to do in for the kids and household. She then lists what she has to do as a wife in paragraphs. What a wife has to do while her husband is at work. Lastly, the author demonstrates what the needs are when her husband is so tired after work basically what he wants from his wife as well. Brady's purpose is to show how a man should be lucky to have a wife that takes care of every needs as a wife in order to make her husband happy. The author writes an sarcastic tone for her women and men readers. This work is very significant because I have that it isn't fair how much that this lady has to do to sacrifice for her husband then he up and leaves her and their kids.

Judy Brady in the essay "I Want A Wife" suggests that inequality exists not only in society, but in the standard household. Women are seen as inferior to men and are expected to carry out an unjust chain of duties. Brady supports her claim by describing said duties in an elaborate manner, pointing out even the simplest of details, throughout most of the essay. Each an every one of these tasks are carried out by women, wherein the male partner seldom contributes. She then explains why these burdens are beneficial to the husband. As the wife is preoccupied with her chores, he can worry about his profession leaving him with even less to do in the long run. From there, he can build upon his social life and reputation. Lastly, Brady challenges this prejudice by stating the consequences of a women failing to carry out her duty as a wife. While the husband can easily find someone else, the wife is left with something to the likening of a criminal record. It stays with her and jeopardizes her prestige. The author took a serious approach to this issue and it helped to get her point across thoroughly. In conclusion, household inequality is a huge problem faced by many women who can , unfortunately do little about it. Comments are closed.
